Automobile transportation of pipes

Task:

To organize automobile transportation of metal pipes from East Asia to Russia. The cargo required special attention: the pipes varied in length, diameter, and weight, which made the task logistically difficult. It was necessary not only to ensure safe transportation, but also to perform reloading at several stages, including changing cars at the border crossing.

Solution:

The project required a non-standard approach and engineering training at the planning stage:

  • Development of individual loading schemes: Detailed drawings were drawn up for each batch of pipes, taking into account the dimensions and weight. This made it possible to accurately distribute the load on the platform, minimizing the risks during transportation.
  • Design and manufacture of bunks: To securely fix the load, the team has developed bunks designs that match the pipe parameters. All elements have been individually designed and custom-made to eliminate movement during transportation.
  • Logistics scheme: On the territory of East Asia, the pipes were transfered to a long vehicle, which provided optimal conditions for the further journey.
When approaching the Russian border, a multi-stage reloading was organized: the cargo was divided and redistributed into three different vehicles in order to meet the requirements for weight and dimensions when crossing the border and continuing through Russia.
  • Additional security measures: Pallets were purchased for the stability of the cargo, as well as reinforced fastening according to an individual scheme designed for the actual parameters of the cargo. All this made it possible to guarantee the good condition of the pipes along the entire route.

icon Result:

The cargo was delivered on time, without damage or violations. The customer received the products in full optional, while maintaining the geometry of the pipes and without deviations from the agreed schedule.
